The US Forest Service is hosting a family event at the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14. Fall Fun Fest celebrates wildlife, birds, outdoors and creativity with stories, games, crafts, short hikes and birding events.

On Saturday, Dec. 12, Juneau will host its 9th annual Robot Jamboree, where more than 20 teams from around Southeast Alaska will compete for a spot in the Alaska's FIRST LEGO League state championship. Kids show their programming, engineering and math skills by building autonomous robots to perform specific missions.

Angoon play to be live-streamed Thursday

Angoon's 65 K-12 students, along with Gustavus-based artist Sarah Campen, will on Thursday present "Raven Stole the Sun," a play high school and junior high school students in Angoon wrote based on the story of how Raven brought light to the world.
