Kenai Central High School’s Drama Club presents its spring play “The Dining Room,” by A.R. Gurney directed by Cheri Johnson. The play will show at 7 p.m. March 30 and 31 and 3 p.m. on April 1 at Renee C. Henderson Auditorium. Admission is $5 at the door.
The play consists of 18 vignettes, each with its own plot and characters, all of which are set in a dining room from the 1930s to present day.
Fourteen cast members portray more than 50 characters, who range in age from five to 85 and deal with a variety of timeless issues, such as raising teenagers, aging, infidelity, social status, politics, tradition, and family values.
The play examines, critiques, satirizes, and celebrates the American family.
