Poem: Favorite Flower

Favorite Flower

By Bill Lowe, Sterling

A favorite flower has recently passed,

but cherished memories will forever last.

Your life here on earth went all too fast.

Some friendships last for a short while,

but every inch with you, I count a mile;

every minute, a day; every word, a file.

Whether an old friend or someone new,

we all felt important when close to you.

Your regard for others was always true.

God blessed us with you for many a day,

then He called you to a garden far away,

but in our hearts is where you will stay.

Yes, fond memories we’ll each one keep;

they travel far and wide, long and deep.

What you have sown, others shall reap.
