Poem: My Still Pounding Heart

My Still Pounding Heart

By Brett Van Sickle, Kenai

I still get that same feeling, each time that we touch.

Every day just reminds me, of how I love you so much.

Almost four years together, yet it seems just today,

It could not have been better, a son and daughter to give you away.

Our life’s journey has started, in strength together we will stand.

Even through the struggles, we will fight hand in hand

I will always miss you, every time that we are apart.

And I will always love you, with my still pounding heart.
