■ World Music for the Kenai presents The Spirit Daddies with special guests Baked Alaska and their Spawn at Peninsula Grace Brethren Auditorium at 7 p.m. Sunday. Events and Exhibits

■ A free public talk and informational discussion about the effects and benefits of music on the brain with Terese Kashi will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Kenai Fine Arts Center. Coffee, tea, water and light snacks will be provided. The meeting is open to the public.

■ The Kenai Peninsula Photographers Guild will have a photograph display through November at the Cottonwood Gallery, on the second floor of the Peninsula Community Health Services building at 230 East Marydale.

■ Rick Cupp will be displaying composite photographs all November at the Ed Jones building in Kenai on Trading Bay Road, at the back of the Home Decor building.

■ All are invited to a Blue Grass Jam on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Kenai United Methodist Church. Musicians and listeners are welcome. There is no charge. The Jam will be held in the downstairs Fellowship Hall. Entrance is through the side door. The Methodist Church is located across from Wells Fargo on the Kenai Spur Highway. Entertainment

■ Sick Puppies will present a special acoustic set at 9 p.m. Thursday at Hooligans.

■ An all acoustic jam takes place every Thursday. The jam is as Christ Lutheran Church in Soldotna on the first Thursday of the month, and at the Kenai Senior Center during the rest of the month. Jam starts at 6:30 p.m.

■ Veronica’s in Old Town Kenai has open mic Friday at 6:30 p.m. and live music Saturday at 6:30 p.m.

■ Odie’s Deli in Soldotna has live music Friday from 6-8 p.m. and Pub Quiz night every Wednesday from 6-8 p.m.

■ The Vagabond on Kalifornsky Beach Road will have live music with 150 Grit Saturday at 9 p.m.

■ The Studio Espresso Shop at Spur Highway and Nikiski Avenue in Nikiski hosts an open mic night on Saturdays starting at 7 p.m. Call 776-7655.

■ AMVETS Post 4 in the Red Diamond Center holds steel-tip darts at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays; steak dinner from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday; and karaoke at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

■ The Bow bar in Kenai has karaoke at 9 p.m. Thursdays and live music Fridays and Saturdays at 10 p.m.

■ Tustumena Lodge will feature the music of The 907 Band Friday and Saturday 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. An open mic night will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Sept. 28 with a $100 prize for the best original song, admission is $10.

■ Hooligans Saloon in Soldotna has poker Tuesdays and Thursdays starting at 5:30 p.m. and live music Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.

■ The Duck Inn on Kalifornsky Beach Road has karaoke at 9 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays.

■ Mykel’s in Soldotna has live music Thursdays from 6-9 p.m. Robb Justice, and Fridays from 6:30-9:30 p.m. with Bob Ramponi and Dave Unruh.

■ Caribou Family Restaurant in Soldotna has live music by Roy Mullin, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Fridays and 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturdays.

■ The Duck Inn will have live music from 7 to 10 p.m. every Wednesday with Robb Justice and Trio.

■ Main Street Tap and Grill has Wednesday karaoke with KJ Natalia, Thursday acoustic music with Dustin and Friends and Keeley & Nelson, and live music and dancing with 9Spine Friday and Saturday.

Markets, Fairs and Bazaars

■ The 2013 Annual Arts abd Crafts Fair, sponsored by the Peninsula Art Guild and Kenai Fine Arts Center, will be held Nov. 29 and 30 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Kenai Central High School. Santa will be at the event from noon to 4 p.m. Admission is free.

■ Our Lady of the Angles Catholic Church in Kenai will hold a craft bazaar in conjunction with its Cookies Buy the Pound event on Dec. 14 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Dec. 15 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. To rent or reserve a craft table, call Lori at 907-283-3315.
