■ An Evening of Christmas, featuring the Redoubt Chamber Orchestra, will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the Kenai Christian Church. Holiday favorites will be performed, with audience sing alongs throughout the concert. The Central Peninsula Community Orchestra will also perform, along with instrumental and vocal solos and ensembles. Tickets are $10 for individuals, $5 for youths 12 and under and $25 for families, available at the door.
■ Triumvirate North, located five miles north of Kenai, will present “White Christmas,” a dinner theatre musical held today, Friday and Dec. 20 and 21. Dinner is at 6 p.m. and the show will start at 7 p.m. Saturday matinees are at 2 p.m. and do not include a meal. Dinner shows are $39 per ticket and matinees are $20 per ticket. ■ On Friday, the Kenai Fine Arts Center will present a BBC Art Film and Discussion — Civilization: Romance and Reality. Kenneth Clark explores religiously-inspired art of the later Middle Ages. The film starts at 6:30 p.m. and beverages and snacks are provided.
■ Cook Inlet Academy on K-Beach Road will be having a Christmas concert on Saturday at 3 p.m. CIA musicians will be joined by numerous musicians from the Kenai/Soldotna area as well as noted musicians from the Anchorage Symphony and Anchorage Opera. ■ A Christmas musical event will be held at 6 p.m. Dec. 20 at the Kenai Fine Arts Center.
■ At noon on Dec. 23, the Kenai Community Library will host a Local Artist Showcase featuring dancers from Peninsula Artists in Motion.
■ The Klimpke’s Christmas Lights Display will be turned on Saturday from 5 to 10:30 pm. through Jan. 1 in Nikiski. The lights display is located off of Miller Loop, fourth driveway on Blueberry Ave.

■ “Emmanuel,” a group show of spiritually-inspired art and the 2013 Kids Group Show will be on display at the Kenai Fine Arts Center.
■ Amvets Post 4 in the Red Diamond Center holds blind draw doubles darts every Friday evening with sign up at 6:30 p.m. Taco’s are available.
■ An all acoustic jam takes place every Thursday. The jam is as Christ Lutheran Church in Soldotna on the first Thursday of the month, and at the Kenai Senior Center during the rest of the month. Jam starts at 6:30 p.m.
■ Veronica’s in Old Town Kenai has open mic Friday at 6:30 p.m. and live music by Peggy Jones on Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
■ Odie’s Deli in Soldotna has live music Friday from 6-8 p.m. and Pub Quiz night every Wednesday from 6-8 p.m.
■ The Vagabond on Kalifornsky Beach Road will have live music with 150 Grit Saturday at 9 p.m.
