Times I hold dear

These Times I Hold Dear

Brett Van Sickle, Kenai

It’s those nights we sit together, watching movies in the dark.

It’s those times we build a fire; I get excited from the very first spark.

It’s just sitting in the kitchen, as we talk about the day.

It’s the way we love each other, on times that I’m away.

It’s those times we go out together, just to pass away the time.

It’s the way you make me smile, as we walk your hand in mine.

It’s the way we hold each other, the way that your lips feel.

It’s that moment I see you smile, lets me know this love is real.

It’s the way we strive together; this force we share is strong.

It’s the way I see your eyes shine, when you hear a favorite song.

This is my way of saying; I will always hold you near.

For I will always love you, it’s these times that I hold dear.

Love, Brett
