St. Patrick’s Day is just about here making it a very good time to once again bring you another batch of Irish recipes from Darina Allen, the “Julia Child of Ireland” and noted founder of the Ballymaloe Cookery School located in Shanagarry, County Cork, Ireland. Allen’s recipes for Cottage Pie with Garlic Butter, Buttered Cabbage and Irish Apple Cake, enhanced with Irish-made Kerrygold 100 percent natural cheeses and Pure Irish Butter – made with milk that comes from Ireland’s grass-fed cows – are about as Irish as they come. Says Allen, “In Ireland we can grow grass like nowhere else in the world.
