Homemade pan release

Yield: About 2 cups

1 cup good quality vegetable oil

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup Crisco vegetable shortening

Place ingredients in the mixing bowl of an electric mixer. With the speed set to medium, mix ingredients until well combined. Place mixture into an airtight container and store away from heat, in a cupboard. (The mixture may also be refrigerated, but it not necessary to do so.) To use, apply mixture to bottom and sides of pan with a small brush. Will keep for 2 months.

Kitchen Ade note: If mixture separates during storage, stir with a spoon to reconstitute.
