COOK ALL-DAY STEW
(Pg 18 of my Cookin’ on the Wood Stove)
Use a large rectangled pan. I use a lasagna pan.
this helps the ingrdients brown nicely.
In the pan place:
1/4 cup flour
1 can beef broth
1 16oz can tomato sauce
Mix until smooth and add to pan:
1 large 3 to4 pound moose or beef roast
cut in large cubes
3 large onions, cut in quarters
3 large carrots, cut in 2 inch chunks
6 potatoes, cut in quarters-do not peel
3 stalks celery, cut in 2 inch chunks
