IRRESISTIBLE CHOCOLATE COOKIES
My good friend Shirley De Vault gave me this
excellent recipe to put in a cookbook I wrote in 2001,
“Grannie Annie’s Cookin’ at the Homestead.”
She stated that her boys always took these to their
high school bake sale.
Preheat oven to 350°
1 cup raisins, soaked in 1/3 cup dark rum for one hour
1 cup butter at rm. temp.
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
2 1/2 cups quick oats
1 tsp each salt and baking soda
