Pink is becoming the color of October both nationally and on the Kenai Peninsula. It’s the color of awareness that by just being female women are at risk for breast cancer and that early detection remains the best method of saving lives. Pink shows up everywhere, in newspaper ads, on television and even on hockey rinks. The messages are clear that communities are united to defeat this disease and offer a strong quality of life for those undergoing treatment. The Kenai Peninsula is no exception.
