The June 2 Peninsula Clarion reported that assembly members Linda Murphy and Bill Smith will sponsor an ordinance increasing our sales tax. (It was to be introduced at the June 7 assembly meeting.)

If Murphy and Smith’s “budget solution” is implemented and we let it happen we deserve it. 

The article quoted Murphy as saying if the increased sales tax is passed she doesn’t think that people: “…would even notice …”

Huh? Let’s clear up that point here and now; people would notice!
