COLONY — The Colony Knights ran away with a victory over the Soldotna Stars, literally. After escaping with a three-point victory earlier in the season, the Knights defeated the Stars 45-24 on Friday night at Colony High School.
Julie Litchfield led the Stars in scoring with eight points, and teammate Heidi Westerman chipped in five. Mary Klapperich led the Knights in scoring with 23 points.
Klapperich’s counterpart, SoHi senior Kaillee Skjold, would not enjoy the kind of offensive freedom as Klapperich. Skjold was held scoreless by a tireless Colony defense.
