The Fairbanks Ice Dogs swept the Kenai River Brown Bears with a 3-2 win on Saturday night at the Soldotna Sports Center, one night after posting the same result.
The Ice Dogs improved to 2-4 at the Sports Center this season, and took a 7-5 lead in the Era Alaska Cup, the season-long battle for junior hockey supremacy between Alaska’s only two junior teams. There are four regular-season games left between the teams.
In Saturday’s game, Kenai River struck first with a goal from Albin Karlsson at 8 minutes, 40 seconds, into the game, his 10th of the season.
