Do you have FOMO? It’s a terrible way to live. The first things you notice are sweaty palms. Your anxiety grows. Your toes start to tap. It’s hard to concentrate. Perhaps you’re in class, listening to an important lecture but you can’t take the tension any longer. Your hand creeps into your pocket and you grab your cell phone for a little relief. It’s been only 15 minutes but you must check your text messages! That’s when you know you have it. FOMO: The Fear of Missing Out.

If not, the easiest way to feel unique is to join a club filled with people unique just like you. This, of course, only works if the number of members remains small enough and, of course, if you can qualify.

Here are some clubs you might consider.

There’s the Core Club. There aren’t a lot of members since you must have an annual earning that places you in the top 1 per cent of the U.S. This means that for 2011, you had to earn more than $3,000,000.

The author and preacher G. K. Chesterton once sat in a group of other literary experts who were being interviewed. Someone asked the writers what book they would most want to have with them if stranded on a deserted island. "The complete works of Shakespeare," the first author fired off without hesitation. "I choose the Bible," said another. The great man of God, Chesterton, replied: "I would choose Thomas' Guide to Practical Shipbuilding."

Thanksgiving is coming. The holiday sits on the same calendar page that currently shows on your wall. It's coming as sure as the next day's sun. But someone shouting "It's sunny!" doesn't mean you can't shut the door, close the blinds and sit sad in the dark.
