Why is the fish board trying and succeeding to have Cook Inlet, False Pass and Cordova taken out of the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act?
The act is one of the Crown Jewels of our late, great, senator, Ted Stevens, who obviously put a great deal of thought into his legislation.
I consider it to be a great conservation act for the fish of the whole United States.
I believe the fish board actions are the first step in dismantling the Magnuson-Steven Act.
