As dark clouds fill the sky and puddles form everywhere, one may wonder if the rain will stop any time soon. The short and sweet answer: maybe.
According to Tom Pepe, meteorologist with the National Weather Service, the wet season is upon us.
“It is more typical to see this type of rainfall this time of year,” Pepe said.
Pepe said the record for consecutive days of rainfall in Alaska from 1915 to this year is 17. So far, he said we have had 13 consecutive days of rain, ranging from a drizzle to a downpour.
