The host Nikiski soccer team was able to notch a 1-1 tie against Wasilla on Thursday to move their record to 1-5-1.
“We’re playing a lot better, which is good,” Nikiski coach Jim Coburn said.
After a scoreless first half, Hunter Holloway put Nikiski up in the second half, but Wasilla was able to equalize.
Coburn said Dylan Broussard had a great game in net, making 16 or 17 saves. The coach added that Javon Pamplin led a solid effort by the defensive unit.
Wasilla 4, Nikiski 0
The host Bulldogs dropped a decision to Wasilla on Thursday to fall to 3-5.
