All of this ranting and raving over the possible pebble mine project.
We already allow a huge source of pollution here on the Kenai: our local junk yards. Literately mountians of rusting, butt-ugly junk vehicles that leak every know toxin that you can think of — anti-freeze, motor oil, transmission fluid, gas, diesel, battery acid, grease — all of which slowly seep from these junk vehicles and pollute our land, rivers and streams. No one says a word about this pollution; it continues for generations.
