Consider this proposal: Only those Alaskan Residents who voted in the Oct. 2 election should be allowed to vote in the Nov. 6 election!

Does that proposal get your attention? Are you awake now?

Now rant and rave about your rights as a American to vote or not to vote. Whine and complain with all sorts of lame excuses for not voting.

Yes you have the right not to vote but in turn i have the right not to listen to someone that does not vote.

I'm just curious as to when the joy of riding a snowmachine became more important than respecting the private property of local residents.
Once again, we have a example of the bad behavior of a few ruining the freedom for everyone.

Started out with only a few riding their snowmachines through my front yard and near the drainage ditch. That soon progressed to dozens riding through my front yard at all hours of the day and night and wee hours of the morning -- to within only 3 feet of my bedroom window, which obviously upsets me.

Now you can recieve a $5,600.00 tax credit for hiring a Iraq or Afghanistan veteran. Now you can recieve a $9,600.00 tax credit for hiring a wounded warrior. Now there are no excuses for not hiring Iraq and Afghanistan veterans.

President Obama signed this bill into law Nov. 21, 2011; it is now the law of the land. Now our Iraq and Afghanistan veterans will move to the front of the line for job interviews and job opportunities. More than any other group of Alaskans, our Iraq and Afghanistan veterans and their families have earned this!

Years ago I served on grand jury duty and the court system used a teleconference system to provide testimony from state troopers and witnesses from all over the state.

You could view a person’s testimony from Nome while serving on jury duty in Kenai, and no it was not necessary to provide air travel, taxi cabs, hotels, food and lodging, then transportation back to their homes. All of the testimony could be completed within a few minutes and at very little cost.
