Mark the calendar! The public is invited to take advantage of the annual KRC health fair event that will be held on Wedneday from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. in the McLane Commons.

Participants will have access to a vast array of health education materials through interactive learning centers and exhibits. There will be health screenings available including blood pressure measurement, body mass index readings and vision checks.

KPC’s process technology, instrumentation and computer electronics students are very popular these days. Successful graduates have many opportunities to secure both internships and entry-level employment as they approach graduation. These popular programs are full every semester and classes fill up immediately after registration opens and often have waiting lists..

All funds donated to KPC must be physically delivered to the UA Foundation, the entity that manages all gifts to the University of Alaska, by Dec. 21, 2012. KPC’s advancement office will physically accept year-end gifts until noon on Dec. 19 in order to meet this deadline. Donations can also be made online at kpc.alaska.edu/give/ with a credit card.

General public registration for the upcoming semester opened online at 12:01 a.m. and undoubtedly there were students on their computers trying their best to get a seat in the classes they need.

Registration priority, held over the last two weeks, is given to students enrolled, or having pending status, in certificate or degree programs. The intent is to ensure there are no barriers for students to earn certificates or degrees in the least amount of time possible. Staying on track for degree completion is a current theme being encouraged throughout the University of Alaska system.
