I just finished reading your article on dipnetting (Claion, Dec. 3). I guess all I can say is, is the city council nuts? It is insane to even entertain the idea of the Kenai residents to shoulder this expense. The $240,000 required to have this inlet polluting, river raping chaotic fishery should be the sole responsibility of anyone who puts a net in the water. I know that the residents of Kenai that I know who use this fishery are respectful of our river and beaches. Not like our “guests” who treat this privilege like they are in a Fisherman Gone Wild film.
