KCHS Choir concert today

The 41st annual KCHS Choir concert is today at 3 p.m. in the KCHS Auditorium. Donations are very much appreciated but there is no charge for admission.

This year's concert will feature many solos including: The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting), Amy Maurer; White Christmas, Kyle Dougherty; Ave Maria, Faren Calix; I Wonder as I Wander, Selia Butler; O Holy Night, Tom Randall; Silent Night, Men's group, and more.

The choir's songs will include: Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!, Baroque Christmas Festival, Carol of the Bells, Do You Hear What I Hear, I Saw Three Ships, Christmastime, and more. Two of the numbers will be accompanied by Christ Lutheran Church's Bell Choir directed by Mrs. Elaine Larson. They will also be featured on a third piece of their own.

Project Hope fundraiser planned
A "fun raiser and fundraiser" Christmas Party for Homeless and Community to support a homeless shelter is planned for Dec. 17, from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Soldotna Sports Center. The event will include a silent and live auction, dollar dances, door prizes, food, pictures with Santa and games for children. The meal is free; donations are appreciated.

A planning meeting will take place Dec. 5 at 3 p.m. at Mugz coffee shop in the Blazy Mall in Soldotna.
