Spiritual Emphasis Week concludes at Soldotna Bible Chapel

Dr. Del Tackett of The Truth Project will be speaking Sunday at 9:30 a.m. at Soldotna Bible Chapel, 300 West Marydale. Dr. Tackett is the author, architect and teacher for Focus on the Family’s The Truth Project, a nationwide initiative designed to bring the Christian worldview to the body of Christ. As a professor, Dr. Tackett has taught over 30 graduate and undergraduate courses, including faculty positions at New Geneva Theological Seminary and Summit Ministries. Dr. Tackett served over 20 years in the U.S. Air Force. During the George H.W. Bush administration, he was appointed By President Bush as the director of technical planning for the National Security Council.

Star of the North hosts speaker

Star of the North Lutheran Church will be hosting a presentation by Jim Presnell from Concordia University, Portland Ore., on Oct. 14 at 5 p.m. Concordia is a Christian University preparing leaders for the transformation of society. All teens and parents are welcome to attend. There will be pizza too!

Funny River Road church gospel meeting continues

The Funny River Road Church of Christ (mile 1/4) will be hosting a gospel meeting with guest speaker David Halbrook from Batesville, Ark., through 7:30 p.m. tonight, then again Sunday services at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. All are welcome to attend! Come study with us!

Catholicism classes available

Classes for anyone interested in the Catholic Church will be held each Wednesday evening at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. The classes are held in O’Neill Hall on Redoubt Avenue at 6:30 p.m. Those attending will learn about the teachings of the Church based on the teachings of Jesus Christ to His disciples. This process is called the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults or RCIA. For more information call Shirley at 262-9654 or Marlys at 262-5542.

Clothes Quarters open weekly
