Sluciak, Farrally tie the knot


Jenna Sluciak and Cameron W. Farrally were married in an afternoon ceremony on Aug. 11, 2012 at the property of the groom’s aunt and uncle, Sally and Val Youngberg, in Hope by the Resurrection Pass trailhead. Chris Ragula officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Andrew Sluciak of Las Vegas and Terrie Sluciak of Anchorage. She has a bachelor’s degree in Social work from the University of Alaska and is a Care Coordinator at the ARC of Anchorage.

She wore a tea length strapless white gown with a birdcage style veil and carried a bouquet of colorful daisies in the bridesmaid’s dress colors of orange, green, blue, and pink and white peruvian lillies. The maid of honor was the bride’s best friend Erin Webb. Bridemaids were the groom’s sister Erin Farrally, and sister-in-law of the bride Zeidy Sluciak.

The groom’s parents are of the late William R. Farrally of Soldotna, and Betty Whittenberg and stepfather Robert Whittenberg of Soldotna. He is a member of IBEW in Anchorage, and also has an associate’s degree from the Arizona Technical Institute of Phoenix.

The groom wore a tuxedo with a white shirt and bowtie. His best man was Andrew Hemingway, a former Soldotna resident. groomsmen were Charles Snyder, and Kyle Norwood. Owen Gaard of Soldotna was usher and played solo guitar during the outdoor ceremony.

The reception was held at a pavillion outdoors at the Youngberg’s with Resurrection Creek and mountains as background.

Special guests included the grandfather of the bride, Andrew Sluciak Sr. of Pittsburg Penn.; aunt and uncle of the groom, Augusta and Andy Dalziel of French Gulch Calif.; uncle and aunt Gary and Sonia Farrally; best friend of the the groom’s late father, Dave Hagen; and cousin and photographer Dana Alteneder.

The couple is still in the planning stage of their honeymoon but want it to involve sun and sand. They reside in their new home in Anchorage with their dog Bugsy.


Cheeseman, Leach engaged

Allyn and Karen Cheeseman of Kenai, and Randy Leach of Soldotna and Melody Sievers of Amarillo, Texas, are pleased to announce the engagement of Madison M. Cheeseman and Matthew G. Leach. Both are 2009 graduates of Kenai Central High School. A July 13, 2013 wedding is planned.
