Selection officials based their decision on academics, school and community involvement and financial need. Lewis, the student body president at SoHi and a varsity athlete, will join 99 other finalists to compete for one of 12 scholarships, each expected to be worth $20,000. The scholarships are offered to descendants of war-time veterans who have served honorably.
