Ron and Teea McBride of Kenai announce the birth of their son, Kass Nicholas Joseph Winger, at 1:25 p.m. Jan. 25, 2013. He weighed 7 pounds, 8.6 ounces and measured 19 1/2 inches. He joins brother Lyman Ellis Gordon McBride. His grandparents are Malcolm McBride of Kenai, Kathy Winger of Soldotna, Sherry McBride of Reno, Nevada, and Ronald Winger of Las Vegas. His great-grandmother is Joanne Glaves of Soldotna.

Esther Hamilton of Kenai has been named to the Dean’s Honor List for the 2012 Fall Semester at Ball State University in Indiana. Hamilton is a 2011 Kenai Central High School graduate.
