There is a Radiant Purity Video Conference for young ladies ages 12-22 to be held at the North Kenai Chapel, Mile 29 of the Kenai Spur Highway on April 5 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and April 6 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. How can a young lady stay emotionally and physically pure as she waits for God’s best? What is a young lady to do while she waits? How can parents protect and guide? Taught by Sarah Mally, author of Before You Meet Prince Charming, and the Bright Lights team, this conference will provide practical and Biblical answers to everyday questions and deep life struggles. The Soldotna Church of God located at 105 W. Redoubt Ave. continues a series entitled “Wisdom from the Bench” this Sunday during the 9:00 and 11:00 worship services. Everyone is welcome. Nursery and Children’s Church are available for families. If you are not able to make a morning service we would love to have you join us on Sunday evening at 6:00 for bible study. Wednesday night classes include; Royal Rangers for boys K-12th, National Girls Ministries for girls K-6th, Destiny Youth Group, and classes for Men and Women. Celebrate Recovery with Ladies Yada every Wednesday at 1:00.

Soldotna Day Aglow will meet every Wednesday at Peninsula Christian Center located in Soldotna. There will be coffee and fellowship at 9:30 a.m. followed by 10 a.m. worship, teaching and prayer. Nikiski Aglow is hosting the Beth Moore DVD lecture/study series “The Law of Love — lessons from the pages of Deuteronomy.” The location of the meeting is Mile 23 North Road at Nikiski New Hope Christian Fellowship. Clothes Quarters at Our Lady of the Angels Church is open every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the first Saturday of every month from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Call 283-4555.

The Soldotna United Methodist Church, at 158 South Binkley Street, offers a Food Pantry for residents in the community who are experiencing food shortages. The Food Pantry is open every Wednesday from 11a.m.-2 p.m. for anyone in the area who may need extra help. 

To support these efforts, the church is accepting non-perishable food donations, which may be dropped off at the church any Tuesday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Wednesday from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. or Sunday from 9 a.m.-noon. Child Evangelism Fellowship offers Good News Clubs at Aurora Borealis Charter School, Mountain View Elementary, Soldotna Elementary, K-Beach Elementary and the Merit Inn. Children are taught values and character qualities through Bible lessons, games, and songs. Snacks and prizes will be provided. All volunteer and staff leaders are screened for child protection. Parents are welcome to attend and are responsible for transportation following the clubs. Permission slips are available in all schools.
