National Public Health Week tips

This week is National Public Health Week. The Kenai Public Health Center is providing health tips throughout the week. Take one small step each day for a healthier life.

 

Today’s tip: Ensuring a Safe, Healthy Home for Your Family: Health and safety begin at home. Make prevention a fun family tradition.

■ Check your smoke detectors and CO monitors

■ Use your seat belt and/or car seats

■ Make sure guns are locked up and out of reach of children

■ Decrease the temptation; turn your cell phone off while driving

■ Practice a fire drill
