National Public Health Week tips for a healthier ife

In recognition of National Public Health Week, the Kenai Public Health Center is providing health tips throughout the week. Take one small step each day for a healthier life.

 

Today’s tip: Providing a Safe Environment for Children at School: Schools are the perfect setting for improving child health. Plus, children’s health is a rallying point few can ignore.

■ Volunteer in your child’s school or school activities

■ Participate in parent/teacher conferences

■ Look at the health curriculum for your child’s grade level and advocate it’s use

■ Talk with your child about what is going on in school
