Moms in Prayer meeting planned


Moms and grandmothers are invited to an informational coffee to learn more about Moms in Prayer International, a Christian Ministry where women come together to pray for children and schools. The introductory meeting will be held on Monday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Diamond M Ranch, 485900 Diamond M Ranch Road, Kenai, off Kalifornsky Beach Road.

Church invites community to dinner

The Soldotna Church of Christ, Mile 91.7 Sterling Highway, is inviting the community to come join them for dinner from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday. A dinner of soup, sandwiches and dessert will be provided. All who come are invited to join a bible study at 7:00 p.m.

Soldotna Day Aglow

Soldotna Day Aglow will meet every Wednesday at Peninsula Christian Center located in Soldotna. There will be coffee and fellowship at 9:30 a.m. followed by 10 a.m. worship, teaching and prayer. The group will be watching a DVD series by Beth Moore called Law of Love. Babysitting provided. For more information contact Judy Risung at 283-3534.

Nikiski Aglow to continue lecture series

Nikiski Aglow is hosting the Beth Moore DVD lecture/study series “The Law of Love — lessons from the pages of Deuteronomy.” The location of the meeting is Mile 23 North Road at Nikiski New Hope Christian Fellowship. The time is 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday mornings, through April 13. Contact Beverly Berdahl at 776-8022-for further information or to reserve child care during the study. Food pantry open at Soldotna church

The Soldotna United Methodist Church, at 158 South Binkley Street, offers a Food Pantry for residents in the community who are experiencing food shortages. The Food Pantry is open every Wednesday from 11a.m.-2 p.m. for anyone in the area who may need extra help. 

To support these efforts, the church is accepting non-perishable food donations, which may be dropped off at the church any Tuesday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Wednesday from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. or Sunday from 9 a.m.-noon. To make onetary donations, mail a check to the address above designating it for the SUMC Food Pantry or drop it by. For more information, contact the church office at 262-4657 or by email at

Clothes Quarters open weekly

Clothes Quarters at Our Lady of the Angels Church is open every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the first Saturday of every month from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Call 283-4555.

Kids' activities available at Grace Brethren Church

■ Kids Wednesday Night Discipleship is Wednesdays from 6:30-8 p.m. at Peninsula Grace Brethren Church, mile 19.5 Kalifornsky Beach Road, open to kids ages birth to fifth grade. Free, no preregistration required. For more information, call 907-262-6442.

■ Kid Zone is held every Tuesday that there is school at Peninsula Grace Brethren Church for kids ages birth to preschool and a parent/guardian from 10:30-11:30 a.m. with indoor slides and lots of toys! Free!
