Joshua Corr, a Skyview High School graduate, has been named to the Dean’s Honor Roll at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Okla. Dtudents with a grade point average of 3.50 or higher with no grade below a “C” were placed on the Dean’s Honor Roll.


Air Force Airman Justin M. Pena graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Pena is the son of Kelly and Elvira Wolf of Soldotna. He is a 2012 graduate of Skyview High School.

James Hilbish of Soldotna graduated Spring 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas.

Two students from the central Kenai Peninsula graduated from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colo., on April 27:

■ Nikita Naumoff, of Soldotna, received a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Sociology/Human Services-General Option.

■ Travis Werba, of Kenai, received a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Accounting.

Kati Dutcher of Soldotna has been named to the Dean’s List at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, for the spring 2013 semester.

To be selected, students must have at least a 3.6 grade point average on a 4.0 scale with at least 12 graded hours and be in good standing with the university.

Alexi “Lexi” Beeson of Kenai has been named to the Dean’s List for Spring Term 2013 Austin College in Sherman, Texas. The Dean’s List recognizes the top 20 percent of students taking a minimum of three graded, full-credit courses each term based on the grade point average for that term. For Spring Term 2013, the Dean’s List recognizes 225 individuals who earned a semester grade point average of at least 3.775 on a 4.0 scale. Beeson is the daughter of daughter of Jim Beeson and Jill Groenen.
