Kenai Senior Center activities

■ July 4th the Kenai Senior Center will be presented in the Parade, on stage at the Kenai Green Strip and we will be operating a booth selling breakfast, lunch and our famous Kenai Senior Center Pies. KSC office closed.


■ July 9th — VFW State Officer, Scott Griffith, will be at the Kenai Job Center —8 a.m.-Noon

■ July 11th — Cupcakes with Mayor Porter — 1 p.m.

■ July 15th — Caregiver Class “The Basics of Tai-Chi — 1 p.m.

■ July 16th — Day Trip-Gold Panning in Cooper Landing — 10:30 a.m.-about 4 p.m. — (Call Center for prices and details. Must pre-register)

■ July 18— Driving with Davey’s Mystery Drive — 1:30 p.m. ($5 van ride)

■ July 18th — Movie Time “the Unsinkable Molly Brown” — 3 p.m.

■ July 23rd — No-Host Dinner to Paradisos — 5 p.m. ($3 van ride)

■ July 25th — Senior Night at Oiler Baseball Field — 6:30 p.m. ($3 van ride)

■ Zumba Gold: Tuesday / Thursday — 2 p.m.

■ Bible Study: 7 a.m. — Thursdays: Reviewing the History Channel’s “The Bible”

■ Massage Therapy — Wednesdays (by appointment only) — $40 a session — sign up at KSC

■ Wednesday, July 3rd & 17th — Social Security virtual office: 9 a.m.-noon

The Kenai Senior is the venue to talk to the Anchorage Social Security Office via video conferencing. This is a first come first serve service. A signup sheet will be available when you arrive at the KSC. No appointments and no age limits]

■ Bluegrass —2nd through 4th Thursdays of July — 6:30-10 p.m. — Toe-tappin’ fun for the whole family!

Congregate Meals are served Monday – Friday from 11:30 – 1 p.m. unless otherwise noted. Our mission at the Kenai Senior Center is to serve as a community focal point for senior services where adults 60+ come together to engage in opportunities for dignity and personal growth.
