Woods celebrate 50 years

Don and Loma Wood of Soldotna celebrated 50 years of true love on July 20, 2013.

The couple were married in Napa, Calif., and moved to Alaska in 1976. They have two children, Darlene and Michael, five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren with one on the way.

Their family surprised them by turning their yard into an ole’ western town of places they’d visited. Family, friends and neighbors came from right down the road and as far away as Florida to celebrate, with more to visit later.

Their family writes, “We love you Mom and Dad. Thank you for being such an inspiration.”
