James and Chyna Stafford of Kasilof announce the birth of their daughter, Izzabella Annette Stafford, at 3:40 p.m. on Nov. 12, 2013. She weighed 9.43 pounds and measured 21 1/4 inches. Her grandparents are Missie Gamber, Gene Conner, Katie Stafford and Lee Stafford.


Josh and Antonya Hall announce the birth of their son, Wyatt Joshua Hall, at 6:43 a.m. on Oct. 22, 2013. He weighed 8 pounds, 3 ounces and measured 19 3/4 inches. He joins sibling Remington Hall. His grandparents are David and Tina Hall, Mike and Terie Loomis, Carl Liebes and Kim Andres.

Shara Leaders was awarded a $1,000 Boeing Scholarship by the Endowment for Women in Engineering at Washington State University. Students receiving this award must demonstrate outstanding academic achievement while engaging in multidisciplinary education.

Leaders graduated from Soldotna High School in 2013 and plans to graduate from WSU with a Bachelor’s degree in computer science in 2017.

Leaders is the daughter of DiAnna and Scot Leaders of Soldotna.

Events, wedding, engagement and birth submissions may not be older than six months. Wedding anniversary announcements are printed in five-year increments beginning with the 20th.

If your group or organization has a photo of an event to share, submit the photo and the following information for print: Who took the photo, who’s in it, when and where it was taken, a brief description of what’s happening, and a name and phone number in case we have questions.
