■ Thursday, February 5 — 6:30 p.m. – Old Time Religion SingSpiration (bring a finger food to share)

■ Thursday, February 12, 19 and 26 — 6:30-9:30 p.m. – Bluegrass Jam Session – All levels welcome and observers encouraged

■ Every Friday — 8:00-10:00 a.m. – Waffle Fridays $3

■ Friday, February 6 — noon – Riverside Harmony Valentine’s Concert

■ Monday, February 9 — noon – Cleanup Your Computer Day

■ Wednesday, February 11 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. — Mini Golf Field Trip (Jumpin Junction) $10 trip for van ride and golf. Stop by Center to sign up

■ Friday, February 13 — No morning activities

■ Friday, February 13 — 6:00 p.m. – Valentines Banquet Presented by Kenai First Baptist Church (Sign up on the bulletin board)

■ Monday, February 16 — Closed for President’s Day

■ Wednesday, February 18— 11:30 a.m. – Birthday Lunch

■ Wednesday, February 18 — 1:30 p.m. – Cabin Fever Card Tournament; Pinochle, Bridge, Cribbage and Dominos (Call the Center to sign up for your game of choice).

■ Thursday, February 19 — 4:30 p.m. – Chinese New Year No-Host Dinner to China Sea $3 Van (Sign up on the bulletin board).

■ Sunday, February 22 — 1:15 p.m. – “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” $18 for tickets and van ride (Sign up at the front desk).

■ Tuesday, February 24 — noon – National Tortilla Day

■ Spanish: Mondays — 1-1:30 p.m. Beginning Spanish / 1:30-2 p.m. Audio Spanish / 2-2:30 p.m. Instructional Spanish

■ Guitar Class: Tuesdays — 10:30 a.m.

■ Writers Group — Wednesdays at 1:00 p.m. – Solarium, facilitated by Virginia Walters

■ Nordic Pole Walking — Monday/Wednesday/Friday at 8:00 a.m., Meet at the Kenai Rec. Center

■ Growing Strong Strength Training Class: Monday / Wednesday / Friday at 10:00 a.m.

■ Line Dancing: Monday / Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the Kenai Recreation Center (Please stop by the KSC to sign up for Beginning Line Dancing)

■ Tai-Chi: Tuesday / Thursday at 10:00 a.m.

■ Zumba Gold: Tuesday / Thursday at 2:00 p.m. — donation suggested

■ Walter Walking at Nikiski Pool: Tuesdays and Thursdays ($3 van ride) 7:30a-9:30a

■ Knitting — 1:00 p.m. Fridays

■ Wednesday, February 4 and 18 — 9:00 a.m.-noon Social Security virtual office (The Kenai Senior is the venue to talk to the Anchorage Social Security Office. This is a first come first serve service. A signup sheet will be available when you arrive at the KSC. No appointments and no age limits.)

■ Council on Aging — Thursday, February 12 at 4:30 p.m.

■ Kenai Senior Connection Board Meeting — Friday, February 27 at 9:30 a.m.

Community Meals are served Monday – Friday from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. unless otherwise noted. Our mission at the Kenai Senior Center is to serve as a community focal point for senior services where adults 60-plus come together to engage in opportunities for dignity and personal growth. Please call (907-283-4156) or stop by our facility (361 Senior Court, Kenai AK 99611) anytime during regular operating hours (8 a.m.-4 p.m.) – Monday – Friday.
