Jamie Belle Hunt is serving as a Senate Page during the legislative session.
Hunt, daughter of Sara Crapuchettes, was born in Soldotna. Jamie recently graduated from nursing school with a four year bachelor’s degree, and married her husband, Andrew Hunt, who is also working for the Legislature. Jamie and Andrew are both Brazilian Jiu Jitsu blue belts and continue to train regularly. The fisheries and economy of Alaska are important to Jamie, as she grew up commercial fishing and working for her mother’s company, Wild Alaskan Salmon Company.
Legislative Pages provide services and support to legislative members, including:
— Acting as doormen of the Chambers.
— Remaining on call in the Chambers during session.
— Relaying messages, letters, and documents to and from legislators, legislative offices, and agencies.
— Setting up committee rooms for legislative meetings.
— Maintaining the bills, journals, and other documents used in the Chambers.
