A Kenai Peninsula animal health workshop is planned for April 30 from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at the Soldotna Sports Center. The cost to attend is $5 per person or $10 per family. To register call 262-5824 or stop by the Cooperative Extension Service Office located at 43961 Kalifornsky Beach Road in Soldotna. Cash or check only. Payment can also be made at the door. A number of experts will be on hand to present on topics including: Basic Poultry Production and Care; Animal Health Management; Biosecurity for your Farm; Sheep Health and Management; Basic Ruminant Nutrition; Equine Nutrition; Understanding Feeds and Calculating Rations; Pasture Management and Grazing.
