Notes from the Recycling Bin

Did you know …

“The world begins at a kitchen table. No matter what, we must eat to live,”

— First line from the poem ‘Perhaps the World Ends Here’ by Joy Harjo.

Food connects us to the earth, rivers, and oceans and to each other. Eating is healing, sustaining and celebrating.

What industry is more important than the food industry? A sustainable society begins with how we take care of the earth, rivers, oceans, and each other. Reduce, reuse, rethink.

Information provided by ReGroup, a nonprofit educational group, formed in 1989 to develop public awareness of waste reduction, reuse and recycling benefits on Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula. ReGroup meets every third Monday of the month at 6:30p.m. at Hope Community Center on Princeton Avenue off Kalifornsky Beach Road. Find ReGroup onFacebook (look for our logo and Community Organization) or contact at regroupkenaipeninsula@gmail.com.
