My kids are older than I think they are. Apparently, this has been happening for a while, and I'm only now jut starting to notice.
It really hit home for me last week, when my son turned 13. That's definitely one of those pivotal ages.

March is the month I find myself getting ready for the summer harvest. This means looking in the freezer to see what fish and meat I need to can. Also, what berries, rhubarb and vegetables need to be used before their quality deteriorates.
A Shrove Pancake Supper will be offered from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 4 at St. Francis by the Sea Church, 110 South Spruce Street, Kenai. The meal is $3 per person or families for $12. All welcome.
