We all have our holiday traditions. Each Thanksgiving, for instance, my wife insists on all the kids coming to our house, which I try to veto because I know she will work herself ragged cleaning and cooking and then cleaning again.
We were away from home for most of November. We got back just in time to do the laundry, get the mail, pay a couple of bills and bake a pie. Then, because the weather was so good, we loaded the car, grabbed No.
During this season of family, food, fun and giving, it is a great time to reflect on the abundant freedoms, security and peace we each enjoy. It is also a good time to think of those who will spend the season and coming year with much less.
