Clothes ministry ongoing
The Clothes 4 U Ministry offers free clothing to benefit the community. The ministry is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays at First Baptist Church Soldotna Mission House. Clothes 4 U accepts clothing donations only. For more information, call 262-4304.
Project Hope fundraisers planned
A Christian Men and Women Unite, or C5U, fundraiser for Project Hope will take place Dec. 3 at 2 p.m. at the Trinity Christian Center, the igloo-dome church at Mile 3.3 of the Kenai Spur Highway. The event will feature Jewels 4 God, and Healing Oils of the Bible (the three wise men took frankincense and myrrh -- essential oils -- to Jesus).
Proceeds will benefit young girls and women coming out of sex trafficking world wide. Shop for Christmas, or come for food, fun and fellowship.
A "fun raiser and fundraiser" Christmas Party for Homeless and Community to support a homeless shelter is planned for Dec. 17, from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Soldotna Sports Center. The event will include a silent and live auction, dollar dances, door prizes, food, pictures with Santa and ganes for children. The meal is free; donations are appreciated. A planning meeting will take place at 3 p.m. Nov. 26 at Odie's Deli in Soldotna.

Baptist church hosts club for kids
Calvary Baptist Church invites community kids to participate in our Awana Kids Club. Youth mission fund raiser announced
Our Lady of the Angels annual "Cookies "buy" the Pound" and "Grassroots Fair Exchange" sale will take place in the church hall at Our Lady of the Angels in Kenai on December 10 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and December 11 from 1130 a.m. to 1 p.m. All proceeds go directly to the Our Lady of the Angels youth mission trip fund.

Alateen Recovery group: This is a support group for teens of parents/guardians with addiction problems. The group meets at the same time/location as the Celebrate Recovery group. Church offers after-school hangout
If you are one of the several kids in grades 6-12 suffering from boredom after school, well have no fear. The Peninsula Grace Youth Center located at mile 19.5 on K-Beach road is open Monday through Thursday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Soldotna Day Aglow meetings scheduled
