Clothes ministry ongoing
The Clothes 4 U Ministry offers free clothing to benefit the community. The ministry is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays at First Baptist Church Soldotna Mission House. For more information, call 262-4304.

Baptist church hosts club for kids
Calvary Baptist Church invites community kids to participate in our Awana Kids Club. Children from age 3 up through 6th grade are welcome to join us on Sunday evenings at Kenai Middle School for games, songs, lessons and bible memory verses. Visit for more details, or call CBC at 283-4781.

Kenai church offers support groups
Celebrate Recovery meets every Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Kenai Church of God. Visit or call 283-4009 for details. Alateen Recovery group: This is a support group for teens of parents/guardians with addiction problems. The group meets at the same time/location as the Celebrate Recovery group. "Bible Basics for women." This group meets every Monday at 10 a.m. at Kenai Church of God.

Apostolic Assembly announces events
On Sunday, Dec. 18, at 5:30 p.m., the AAJC Choir will present its annual cantata, "The Way He Came". The birth of Jesus will be celebrated on Wednesday, Dec. 21, at 7:00 p.m., as a birthday party for Jesus. All are welcome to attend these celebration services. For questions, please call 260-4488.

Christmas Eve choir performance on tap
Our Lady of the Angels Children's Choir will perform at the Children's Christmas Mass taking place at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve. There will also be a 9 p.m. Christmas Mass on Christmas Eve. For more information call 283-4555.

Study, fellowship, worship opportunities
Saint Luke Lutheran Church offers several faith strengthening opportunities during the week. The parish holds a Wednesday morning Bible study at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday evening activities start with Vespers at 5:30 p.m. followed by a potluck at 6 p.m. and the Bible study taking place at 7 p.m. at the Parish Hall. Church offers after-school hangout
The Peninsula Grace Youth Center located at mile 19.5 on K-Beach road is open Monday through Thursday from 3 to 5 p.m. available for kids in grades 6-12.

Soldotna Day Aglow meetings scheduled
Soldotna Day Aglow will meet every Wednesday at Peninsula Christian Center in Soldotna. Coffee and fellowship at 9:30 a.m., 10:00 a.m. worship, teaching and prayer, babysitting provided. More information contact Judy Risung 283-3534.

Clothes Quarters open weekly
Clothes Quarters, at Our Lady of the Angels Church is open every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the first Saturday of every month from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Call 283-4555 for more information.

Baptist Church hosts historic demonstrations
College Heights Baptist Church invites to the public to join them for "Bethlehem Revisited" Friday Dec. 16-19 from 5 to 8 p.m. With a time of worship in the town of Bethlehem on Sunday Dec. 18 at 11 a.m.

Bible chapel hosts Christmas Cantata
The Soldotna Bible Chapel Choir will present the Christmas Cantata "Hope Is Born - Emmanuel" this Sunday night, December 18, at 7:00 pm. The evening will feature the Adult Choir of more than 75 voices, solos and a Children's Choir singing familiar and new Christmas music. This free concert is under the direction of Gary Lindman. Everyone is welcome to attend. The Bible Chapel  is located at 300 West Marydale Ave. in Soldotna. 

Christmas Sunday service will be at 9:30 a.m. Sunday School and Evening Worship are canceled for that Sunday.
