Methodist church welcomes guest pastor
The people of the Kenai United Methodist Church will welcome Beth Gibson to the pulpit on Sunday, April 15.  The regular pastor, Janice Carlton will return on Sunday, April 29.  Pastor Gibson will preach at the 11:00 service. The church is located on the Frontage Road in Kenai next to the Boys and Girls Club. All are welcome to attend. A light lunch follows the Sunday service.

Suicide prevention meeting set
Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church will host a suicide prevention meeting April 28 from 1 to 5 p.m. To learn how to register, visit http://www.gracelutherankenai.com. Registration is required by April 21.

Kasilof Community Church moves services
Due to a Feb. 17 fire, Kasilof Community Church is meeting at Tustumena Elementary School. Sunday church services are at 11 a.m. First- through sixth-grade Kid's Program meets Wednesdays at 4 p.m. Junior High and High School Program meets Wednesday's at 6 p.m. Prayer Meeting is Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the church in the office building.

Clothes Quarters open weekly
Clothes Quarters at Our Lady of the Angels Church is open every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the first Saturday of every month from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Call 283-4555 for more info.

Soldotna Day Aglow meetings scheduled
Soldotna Day Aglow will meet every Wednesday at Peninsula Christian Center located in Soldotna. There will be coffee and fellowship at 9:30 a.m., followed by 10 a.m. worship, teaching and prayer. There will be babysitting provided if needed. For more information contact Judy Risung 283-3534.

Kenai church offers support groups
Celebrate Recovery meets every Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Kenai Church of God. Visit www.kenaicog.com or call 283-4009 for details. Alateen Recovery group: This is a support group for teens of parents/guardians with addiction problems.

The group meets at the same time/location as the Celebrate Recovery group. "Bible Basics for women" meets every Monday at 10 a.m. at Kenai Church of God.

Wednesday study, fellowship worship offered
Saint Luke Lutheran Church's Wednesday 10:30 a.m. fellowship/study is currently focusing on Martin Luther's Large Catechism at 48095 Andrews Ave for approximately one hour.

The church's Wednesday evening activities take place at the Parish Hall and consist of a Vespers Service at 5:30 p.m., followed by a potluck fellowship at 6 p.m., and a detailed exegetical study starting at 7 p.m. and currently focusing on Genesis.
