Guest speaker, garage sale announced
Star of the North Lutheran Church’s Youth Group is holding its 3rd annual garage sale.

The church is collecting donations now and the sale will start June 8 and 9 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 216 N. Forest Dr. next to Fireweed Herb Garden.

Call 283-4153 or 776-8313 for more information. All donations will help them get to the 2013 Youth Conference in Texas.

Star of the North Lutheran Church in Kenai welcomes Rev. Paul Linnemann as the guest speaker Sunday, May 27 at the 11 a.m. service. Rev Linnemann, President of the Northwest District — Missouri Synod will be visiting the Kenai Peninsula the following week. Summer worship services, beginning June 3, will begin at 10 a.m. For more information call 283-4153.       

Fellowship welcomes guests
Newlife Christian Fellowship in Kasilof will be hosting Dave Duell ministries of Colorado. 

Services will be held on the dates of June 1st and 2nd. Times are: Saturday June 1 — 1-3p.m. and 6 p.m; Sunday June 2nd — 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Dave Duell is a rancher out of Colorado and a mature brother in Christ who pastor’s and operates in a powerful Healing gift. 

Dave Duell ministries is also nationally recognized through their association with Andrew Womack ministries also located in Colorado.

If you have been praying, trusting and awaiting God’s touch in the area of physical, emotional or spiritual healing we invite you to attend one or all of these special services to hear the Word preached, receive the Love of God, and anticipate Gods promised touch of healing in your life.

Church to host gospel meeting
The Funny River Rd. Church of Christ (mile 1/4) will be hosting a gospel meeting with guest speaker Connie Adams from Indiana starting Sunday, June 3 and running every weeknight through Friday night June 8. Sunday services are 10 a.m. and again Sunday night at 6 p.m. Services start on the weeknights at 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. All are welcome to attend.

Vacation Bible School on tap
Free Vacation Bible School will be offered July 9 to 13 from 6 to 8 p.m. and open to Pre-K through students going into 5th grade. Music, crafts, snacks, and fun while learning about God. Kenai church offers support groups
Celebrate Recovery meets every Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Kenai Church of God. Visit www.kenaicog.com or call 283-4009 for details. Alateen Recovery group: This is a support group for teens of parents/guardians with addiction problems.

The group meets at the same time/location as the Celebrate Recovery group. “Bible Basics for women” meets every Monday at 10 a.m. at Kenai Church of God.

Wednesday study, fellowship worship offered
Saint Luke Lutheran Church’s Wednesday 10:30 a.m. fellowship/study is currently focusing on Martin Luther’s Large Catechism at 48095 Andrews Ave for one hour.

The church’s Wednesday evening activities take place at the Parish Hall at 5:30 p.m., followed by a potluck fellowship at 6 p.m., and an exegetical study starting at 7 p.m.
