Kenai Peninsula College Valedictorians

KPC Business & Industry — Chelsea Kaas

Chelsea Kaas earned her Associate of Applied Science (Process Technology) degree. She is currently employed at Peak Oilfield Services. She plans to live in a warm state, but near a snowboarding town, while working on the North Slope for Conoco Phillips or BP.

KPC Arts & Sciences — Samantha Mills

Samantha Mills was born on the Kenai Peninsula in 1978, and has lived in this area of Alaska for most of her life. She was raised by her parents, Brent and Judy Johnson, on a secluded lake in Kasilof. Samantha spent every summer during her childhood on the family commercial fishing site in Clam Gulch, and continued to work there with her other five siblings, until she began working as the clerk for the Soldotna Police Department in June of 2008. She enjoys working in the law enforcement field and plans to continue working in this field in the future. She loves the community she lives in, and plans to remain in the area (as long as she is able to go to Hawaii in February when the bitter cold has us all chilled clear to the bones). She has enjoyed her experience at the Kenai Peninsula College and is proud to be part of the alumni.
