Mr. Daniels’s class is getting bugged! They are studying animal structures for support, movement, and protection. Since they can’t have a bull elk in class to study during this lesson, they are going to get mealworms and cockroaches. Seems like a fair trade off don’t you think? In addition to feeding and watering their class pets, they will study their structures that allow them to move, support, and protect themselves. This lesson is usually a hit with the kids.

Mr. Daniels’s class also Skyped a class in Parker, Colorado last week. They asked the mystery class questions in an attempt to determine where they are from. After figuring out where they lived, the class spent some time getting to know the kids by asking questions about what it is like to live there. The Colorado class was surprised to hear about our current cold temperatures!

The Sixth grade will be hosting “Breakfast with Santa” on December 17 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. All ages are welcome, but children must be accompanied by an adult.
