Kenai Peninsula College: Around Campus

Once again, KPC enrollments are trending upward as the general registration period for the fall semester gets underway. The pace of KPC system wide enrollment compared to this time last year is up more than five percent. The fall semester begins Aug. 26.

Summer semester registration is also open and students can register up until the first day of the class. Some courses are offered in a condensed, five-week block.

General public registration opened for the fall 2013 semester at 12:01 a.m. this morning, April 15 and trending shows that classes are again filling rapidly.

To view all KPC class offerings for the fall, visit KPC website’s searchable schedule from the homepage. Registration is available at UAOnline, also accessible near the top of the homepage, on the right in the yellow bar.

Summer semester registration remains open to the public up until the first day a class begins.

While I was out of state with my family during Spring Break, we went on a hike. The trail was muddy, but wide enough to be used as a road by the very brave 4x4 truck owners. On our way up the trail we hardly noticed a sign prohibiting vehicles on a branching path, but we definitely noticed it on our way back! A huge truck had gotten stuck in the mud all the way up to its headlights! We were laughing and wondering “What were they thinking?”

Kenai Peninsula College: Around Campus

Instructors will be presenting a week of math to students who are working toward completing the math portion of the GED test. Numerous math sessions focusing on several different topics will be held throughout the week at the Learning Center. These sessions will be offered both face-to-face and online. Students may choose to attend one or all of the sessions and no appointment is necessary. Tutoring and testing in all GED subjects will also be available.
