HEA seeks Energy and Conservation Fair vendors
Homer Electric Association, Inc. (HEA) is inviting businesses that provide energy efficient or conservation services/products to submit a vendor application for its annual Energy and Conservation Fairs hosted Nov. 3 at the Kenai Middle School in Kenai and Nov. 10 at West Homer Elementary School in Homer.
The HEA Energy and Conservation Fairs bring together local businesses and organizations to educate and provide safe, responsible energy solutions to area residents and businesses. The Fairs, hosted in Kenai and Homer, are opportunities to showcase your services and products to help members make informed choices regarding energy use and conservation.

* “Intermediate Quickbooks 2011” ($150) — 2 night classes Oct. 23 and 30, 5-9 p.m. Prerequisite is Beginning QuickBooks or experience with QuickBooks software to take this class of 5 chapters that will provide information on tracking sales, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and reporting capabilities: 1-Enter sales information; 2-Receive payments and make deposits; 3-Enter and pay bills; 4-Analyze financial data; 5-Additional information. * “Starting A Business” (free) — Sept. 25 at 10 a.m. Bryan Zak will cover basic questions and offer helpful resources in a 2-hour workshop on “Starting a Business” while preparing you for a productive relationship with Alaska Small Business Development Center and partner programs, and explain the value of our free counseling services. This seminar will be in Suite 12 at the Red Diamond Center. Registration deadline is Sept. 21.
