New owners promise fun for everyone at Icons 907 in Kenai...

The new owners mean more hours and more fun activities at the Icons 907 in Kenai. Owners Seth Stacey, Gail & Tony Balzer, and Robin Whiteside say they are committed to providing quality entertainment for the entire family. "We saw an opportunity to utilize the facility for a positive, safe, drug free, non-alcoholic, fun environment for local youth so Gail and Tony and Robin and I decided to step up to the plate and formed a partnership. We started having some teen dances and learning and growing the venue from there bringing in local bands and going with the local music scene which is turning out great," Seth Stacey told the Dispatch in an interview.

Icons 907 is now open 7 days a week Sunday through Thursday from 2:00pm to midnight and Friday & Saturday from noon to midnight, "But that's flexible depending on our dances and attendance we can push the envelope a bit and stay open as long as everyone is having a good safe time," added Seth. "We not only felt there needed to be a good place for teenagers to come but also for the community as a whole so the entire family can come down during day time hours and play a little pool with your kids then have them challenge you on the latest video games, just a nice safe place for everyone to enjoy in this community," said one of the other new owners Gail Balzer.

One of the other partners Robin Whiteside plans on adding culture to Icons 907 by featuring an artist of the month from the local community to hang and display their crafts at the facility for the community to see and enjoy. "We also plan on being a drop off for Toys for Tots this year and being very active in the community," added Seth. Icons 907 is also available for private parties.
